My name is Raquel Beneitez Tejón, Corporate Development Director at DIA Group. As part of the company’s digitization strategy, we launched Nexus by DIA last July, a collaborative, digital innovation and talent search platform that gathered more than 120 startup applications from all over the world.
In October, after a difficult selection process, due to the high level of the projects submitted, we welcomed four startups that have joined our organization in order to launch each of the proposals in a record time of 10 weeks.
And so on January 23 we celebrated the Demo Day so that they could present the conclusions of these 10 weeks of work, the progress made, the difficulties they faced and of course, the future of a possible collaboration.
In this Newsletter we present each of the four projects focused on four different areas: Human Resources, marketing, chain optimization and big data. All these projects share a common goal with DIA; to learn new ways of working to develop the shopping experience that today’s and tomorrow’s customers demand.
Please be sure to read the Opinion column of this issue, a reflection on the world of startups and our experience in this project.
