The remodelling implies a new modern image and an assortment of products above 4,000 references.
DIA Group today has presented its new Max Descuento model with the reopening of the establishments in Zamora and Béjar (Salamanca), which have been revamped to increase the number of references to more than 4,000 and 3,700, respectively. These stores are cash-and-carry, specialised in offering services to professionals and freelancers in the hotel industry, small businesses, and other types of businesses.
The Max Descuento in Zamora, with more than 1,300 square metres of surface area for sales, has 8 employees, while the one in Béjar, which is smaller (715 square metres), has a staff of 4 employees. In both cases, fruit sections have been installed, the cold and refrigerated areas have been expanded, and the shelves have been improved and expanded in the store.
The opening hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays they only open in the morning; the Zamora store from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and the store in Béjar from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In addition, to celebrate the reopenings, a promotion of an additional 10% discount is offered for in-person sales until 4 June.
This transformation reflects DIA Group’s commitment to the provinces of Salamanca and Zamora, where it invested more than 2.3 million in remodelling stores in 2017.
Currently, Max Descuento has 35 establishments distributed throughout seven autonomous communities (Andalusia, Aragón, Asturias, Castilla y León, Extremadura, Murcia and the Valencian Community), with more than 35,000 total square metres of surface area for sales and a staff that has increased with the remodelling of these Max Descuento stores to over 250 employees.
In total, in Castilla y León, the company has 390 stores, 230 owned and 160 franchised.
